Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a fulfilling sightseeing Goa tour in North Goa with us, exploring the beautiful, famous sandy beaches up to the top of fortresses and forts that protected the land from naval attacks.
We start with the ancient Fort Aguada which was built in 1612. This fortress serves as a defensive structure against invaders from the seas, equipped with a lighthouse and was constructed near the Sinquerim Beach. The fort was constructed by the Portuguese to defend against Dutch attacks and is complete with a freshwater spring which was how the fort got the name “Aguada,” which means watery in Portuguese. The lighthouse was built later, in 1864, and is now the oldest of its kind in Asia.
Then we’ll hit the trio Baga-Calangute-Candolim beaches, starting from the closest, Sinquerim Beach. Walk down the fort and enjoy the picturesque view from Sinquerim beach, best known as the most scenic shores among tourists on top of being located near the ancient Aguada Fort. We slowly make our way to Calangute Beach where one can enjoy a range of fun activities and shop to their heart’s content. You can also shop for beach necessities, take part in water activities, or enjoy the food and snacks here. It is also the longest beach in North Goa that stretches from Candolim to Baga. As we continue walking the shore, we’ll reach Baga Beach, where one can find the most hill rocks amongst the three beaches. It is also the most famous for the commercial nightlife with many famous bars, lounges, and clubs here. We move next to Anjuna Beach where you’ll be stunned by the beautiful scenery as palm trees adorn the white sandy beach while the unique red laterite rocks and black rock formations juts out from the sea. It’s also the preferred beach for water sports and to shop at the market.
Finally, we’ll visit Vagator Beach, which is located on the nethermost tip of Bardez Taluka. This beautiful beach is known for the soft, white sandy beach with granite cliffs and offers a series of water activities as well. But this doesn’t mean you can’t just lay down and enjoy the tranquil waves and serene atmosphere. You can also explore the Chapora Fort nearby, a tower that was erected on the Chapora River by Muslim ruler Shahpura in this Goa tour. Take in the unforgettable view of the beach and bask under the sunlight as you watch the sunset from this rare spot.
